Project Magis
Project Magis is a networking group of legal and financial services professionals dedicated to helping others in the local community by supporting the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Project Magis assists people in need by addressing issues such as hunger, homelessness, addiction and more through fundraising events.

Project Magis Fall 2024 Reception Monday October 28, 2024
Join us for the Project Magis Sixth Annual Cocktail Reception to support Martha’s Choice Marketplace & Community Farm. As part of Catholic Social Services, Martha’s mission is to build community and distribute healthy food, providing dignified access to individuals and families. It is the largest food pantry in Montgomery County and distributed over 2.3 million pounds of food last year to 4,400 families and roughly 18,000 individuals, nearly half of whom were children.
Come network with financial services, corporate restructuring, M&A, and professional services colleagues while lending a helping hand to others.

Project Magis Fall 2023 Reception

The fifth annual Project Magis Networking Reception, hosted by Cozen O'Connor, took place on Monday, October 16, 2023. The event attracted over 100 registrants from the legal, M&A, corporate restructuring, and financial services communities and raised over $122,000 to benefit the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia specifically the Developmental Programs of Catholic Social Services.
Thanks to Cozen O’Connor’s hospitality and the generosity of Planning Committee members, 100% of the proceeds from this event will go toward programming.
The Magis Award was presented to Regina Stango Kelbon, Esq., Partner, Blank Rome LLP, by Bishop John McIntyre and CCA Board President, Ernie Russom. The Magis Award is given to individuals in the Greater Philadelphia business community who, regardless of creed, have demonstrated respect, dignity, kindness, and humility toward others in the performance of their duties and in their profession. Honorees are committed to service rooted in solidarity and justice, increasing the common good by doing more for others and creating a better society and life for those around them.

The Fourth Annual Project Magis Cocktail Reception, hosted by Cozen O'Connor, was held on Thursday, October 6, 2022. Thanks to the generosity of Cozen O'Connor and our sponsors, this event raised close to $130,000 for the Catholic Charities Appeal, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support beneficiary programs.
The Magis Award was presented to J. Scott Victor, Managing Director of SSG Capital Advisors by Archbishop Nelson Pérez and CCA Board President, Ernie Russom. The Magis Award is given to individuals in the Greater Philadelphia business community who, regardless of creed, have demonstrated respect, dignity, kindness, and humility toward others in the performance of their duties and in their profession. Honorees are committed to service rooted in solidarity and justice, increasing the common good by doing more for others, and creating a better society and life for those around them.

Second Annual Project Magis Fall Reception
Thanks to our generous sponsors and White and Williams hospitality, the Fall Reception of 2019 raised over $120,000 for the Catholic Charities Appeal. The Inaugural Magis Award was given to The Hon. Kevin J. Carey (Ret.). 100% of the proceeds from the event went to support the Appeal.

Inaugural Project Magis Fall Reception
In 2018, Project Magis hosted its first Inaugural Fall Reception. Thanks to the hospitality of Blank Rome LLP and our generous sponsors, this reception raised over $117,000 for the Catholic Charities Appeal. 100% of the proceeds from the event went directly to support the 4 Schools of Special Education and Catholic Social Services.
