Catholic School Students for Catholic Charities - 2019
High school students from across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia have raised more than $72,000 for the annual Catholic School Students for Catholic Charities Appeal (CSS4CCA) initiative. All funds collected for CSS4CCA will directly support the 4 Schools of Special Education within the Archdiocese;
- Our Lady of Confidence School
- St. Katherine Day School
- Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf
- St. Lucy Day School for Children with Visual Impairments
The high schools took part in fun and creative fundraisers to raise money for the initiative! They hosted Penny Wars at their Spirit Nights, had dance-a-thons, sold t-shirts, and had volleyball and basketball tournaments!
Thanks to all the schools for their unique ideas to get their student community involved in a wonderful cause!
"On behalf of the Catholic Charities Appeal Board, we are so grateful to all Archdiocesan High Schools who supported the Catholic School Students for Catholic Charities Appeal initiative. Raising over $57,000 for the four Schools of Special Education is remarkable. We are delighted to know that our students and faculty across many schools worked together for a common goal. It shows that our community takes pride in helping others, and this is truly amazing. These funds will directly benefit the students of Our Lady of Confidence, St. Katherine Day School, Archbishop Ryan Academy for the Deaf and St. Lucy Day School for Children with Visual Impairments and help provide a safe place for them to learn and achieve their goals. Thank you again. You have truly made a positive impact on the lives of many."
